Into-Africa continues to encourage you in donating your birthday to charity. So far the response we have received has been minimal but those who have donated made a big difference. Therefore, we'd like to take the time and explain Charity Birthday in a better way so you will know exactly how you can make a difference today. Here's a brief description of Charity Birthday from the founder.
What is Charity Birthday?
A few years ago I decided to stop asking for gifts for my birthday and Christmas. I never really knew what to ask for, and, in general, I just didn't really want more stuff. So I started to ask people to donate to charities instead of getting me gifts. At first I asked people to donate to whatever charity they wanted, but then I decided to do a little research and find charities that really spoke to me with their missions.
With Charity Birthday we're hoping to make it that much easier to do this for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Hanukkah, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Tuesday, etc. It also gives people a chance to talk about the charities and why they're important.
So donate your birthday today! It's a great way to celebrate your birthday, makes it easy and convenient for people to give you a meaningful gift, and provides your favorite charities with some great, valuable exposure.

I volunteer for this charity and I've seen first hand what they've been able to accomplish. Here is a list off recent accomplishments.
2008/09 - Accomplishments
A Church facility that seats up to 350 people and also doubles as a school for 230 plus elementary school students in JUI, SIERRA LEONE. A Church facility that seats up to 350 people and a School Building that has 300 students in LUNSAR, SIERRA LEONE. Also, a clean water well has been installed that serves the surrounding community as well as distant villages. A water well system has been installed at the Headquarters Church in Freetown, Sierra Leone (Ferry Junction). This well serves a multitude of families in the Eastern area of Freetown.
A Church facility that seats up to 150 people in PORT LOKO, SIERRA LEONE.
A Church facility that seats up to 100 people in OUAGADOUGOU, BURKINA FASO.
2010 – Accomplishments
A Church facility that seats up to 350 people and a School Building that has over 325 students in KENEMA, SIERRA LEONE.
A Church facility that seats up to 250 people and also doubles as a primary school for 50 students in BO, SIERRA LEONE.
2011 – Accomplishments
3 freshwater wells that provides clean drinking water to over 6000 people throughout Western Sierra Leone.
Presently constructing Church facility and school in MOYAMBA, SIERRA LEONE. This facility will house 350 people in both the church and the school.
Our building project agenda for 2011 includes: Constructing water wells at each of our building locations. Also to build facilities in the following areas: Cotonou, Benin (in which we have recently bought and secured property). Monrovia, Liberia and Doaula, Cameroon.

I really wanted to help Africa, and I knew this charity was the right one to donate to. It is special to me, because the pastor at my church founded it. I think they really make a huge impact in Africa and I can't wait to go someday and see all that they have done. In school right now we are learning about Africa and it doesn't have to be impoverished. It is already a place full of wonderful people just like you and me, and with a little help they can have some of the great resources that we take for granted every day; such as school, church, and fresh water. I am so happy to be able to help this amazing organization.
